Synopsis

TRANSIT LINE
A film about us and our neighbours.
Genocide in europe 1995.
A film about refraining and the aftermath.
A trans- generations- film.
The half an hour long animated film, based on hundreds of watercolour paintings follows a journey
from Germany to the west balkan, coming close to ones own physical, as well as emotional roots
and borders.
Starting point are personal encounters, the uncertain future, the look back and the question of
repetitions and changes. Telling from personal perception the film searches for traces.

    Juliane Ebner

    Juliane Ebner was born in Stralsund. She graduated as a church musician from the Hochschule für Kirchenmusik Dresden in 1993 and worked as an organist in Potsdam, Stralsund and Neumünster. Following that she studied theology at the Christian- Albrecht-Universität Kiel and graduated with a diploma in art from the Muthesius- Kunsthochschule Kiel in 2005. 
    Since 2007 Juliane Ebner works as a freelance artist in Berlin and on Rügen, in the same year she began her work as a filmmaker. 
    Juliane Ebner is a mother of three children, created countless movies and is working on projects and exhibitions in Germany as well as internationally.
