A Film by Sune Sorensen

Synopsis

In a final attempt to re-connect after years of falling out, Alex – encouraged by his mother – embarks on a road trip with his father in their old family Beetle. The car that Alex hates and his father loves, becomes an intimate setting for two stubborn men, who are forced to deal with their issues as they are both literally and figuratively brought together. The journey becomes a bumpy ride filled with conflicts as well as shared memories of a past closeness, which has long since turned cold.

    Sune Sorensen

Best known for his character-driven and non-linear storytelling, writer-director Sune Sorensen was born in Denmark on the 12th of February 1982. At the age of 13 he wrote his first script, which resembled the four years later The Matrix in so many ways that it sparked his initial interest in film-making. He became an editor-in-chief and film critic, whilst studying film at the University of Copenhagen where he excelled his Masters and became an Associate Professor. He quickly lost interest in the academic side of films and founded
a film company, which was joined by new partners and quickly gained international presence; today known as Shoot Happens. Initially he held several roles to keep the company successful (from EP to Producer, Editor to Writer, and Director), until finally positioning himself as a full-time director. As a commercial director, Sorensen has won numerous awards at the most revered and prestigious festivals in the world (Cannes, One, New York Festival, Epica).
He is currently working on his first feature, Sheep, which has already achieved a lot of attention for its original script, thus luring us of the prospect of a one-of-a-kind debut film.
