Synopsis

I SPY WITH MY LITTLE EYE

It is the story of Jan whose world has changed and with it also his perception as he has only got a vision of 5% left. Bit by bit he is developing a seeing with the whole body where all senses are used.

    Vivien Hartmann

    Born 1985 in Leipzig, Germany. She loves traveling and getting to know other cultures. Already during high school she lived for a year in Quito, Ecuador. Then, after finishing secondary school with a French-German diploma, she spent 4 months working as a volunteer in India. After returning to Germany, she began to study Culture Studies, Literary Studies and Visual Anthropology at the Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder). In 2007/2008 she studied at Buenos Aires University, Argentina for 10 months and produced her first short film. During her time at university she was able to get some work experience through several internships, among others at the Interfilm Festival Berlin and at the Goethe-Institut Santiago de Chile, Chile. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree, she started working as a production assistant and a 2nd director assistant for 2 ½ years. During the winter of 2011/12 she traveled to Laos in order to produce and direct her first documentary. Currently she is studying Documentary Film at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. From September to December 2014, she directed a feature short film in cooperation with La Fémis, in Paris. For this time she got a scholarship from the Baden-Württemberg Stipendium.
