Rotkäppchen, Dackel und der Wolf

A Film by Britt Dunse

Synopsis

LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD, DACHSHUND AND THE WOLF tells the story of the Grimm

fairytale “Little Red Riding Hood” in German Sign Language for deaf and hearing people. The deaf Ziernagel family – Little Red Riding Hood, her brother Dachshund, her mother and Forest Grandma, lives in a world where even buildings and trees tell stories in sign language as well as keep an eye on things when they don’t happen to be sleeping. The classic tale takes its course with the difference that in addition to Little Red Riding Hood, her grandmother, the evil wolf, chatty houses, cowardly trees and Dachshund -who unlike Banger is not a dog, all play big roles.
