The Lost Ones

A Film by Dima Lochmann

Synopsis

The Lost Ones is a grim Thriller full of suspense about the desire for appreciation, trust and betrayal. A short film which shows the depths of human nature and social evil.

A shy, young Danish woman cuts herself off from the rest of society and spends her time as a night watchman on the industrial plants of Copenhagen. Driven by the search for security she meets a quiet, charming stranger with an ambivalent personality, who out of love wants to take her home with him. Fighting with her inner demons she is faced with the decision to follow the stranger into his world. Blinded by love she overlooks that his world might be as lonely and only driven by greed, lies and violence.

    Dima Lochmann

Dima was born 1986 in Tjumen, Russia, moved 1996 with his family to Germany and lives today in Hamburg. Already at the age of six he was enthusiastic about film classics as “Aliens”, “Terminator 2” and “Nightmare on Elm Street”, which he was allowed to watched on a small, noisy Russian television set. Driven by the urge to tell emotional stories his love for film making developed early.

Already his first (postapocalyptic-) short film turned out to cause a talking point at the Tatort Drehort Oldenburg film festival. After several internships and freelance work at production companies Dima now studies Multimedia Production MA at the University of Applied Sciences in Kiel. During his Master program he worked at a creative agency for clients like BMW and O2 and could rely on his knowledge in film editing. His love for film continues and that is why at the end of 2014 he wrote, co-produced and directed the socially critical short film THE LOST ONES. In short, Dima is an energetic guy with a calm approach towards making films.
