The Station

A Film by Jocelyn Wat

Synopsis

The old lady excitedly awaited her little girl at the train station. As time ticked by, there was still no sign of her daughter. Turned out she had got onto the wrong platform! To rescue her little girl, the old lady would have to get through the sea-like crowds and the mountain-high stairs— but her challenges appeared to come as much from within as from her surroundings. Would this all prove to be too much for the old lady to save what she treasures the most?
At the end of the film, the camera rotates around the Granny and reveals that the little girl is in fact, a grown up. Yet the Granny still sees her as her little girl, that is why she is having the illusions and drowning in the imagination that her precious girl is in danger.
Everyone can find this relatable —there is always a parent or a guardian who still sees us as young and fragile, no matter how much we have grown.
